Tendencias investigativas en Tecnologías Verdes orientadas a la Protección Ambiental

Research on green technologies for environmental protection has gained importance in recent decades due to the growing awareness of environmental challenges on a global scale. Nevertheless, important knowledge gaps remain. Therefore, the aim is to investigate research trends in green technologies for environmental protection. A bibliometric analysis based on the PRISMA-2020 statement is proposed. A significant increase in research activity on the topic is observed in 2021-2023, with authors such as Zhang S, Zhang D, Guo Y and Xia X standing out for their impact despite lower scientific productivity. The thematic evolution reveals areas of research interest and development, including established and growing concepts such as “financial development,” “sustainability,” “China,” and “green technologies,” which guide the direction of future research and reflect research trends in the field.
