Resumen

In a context where planned and organized tourism has the ability to transform spaces for the benefit of the local population; The present study is developed with the intention of ranking the maximum capacity of the tourist resources of the high Andean zone of Peru, and thus implement inputs so that local and regional authorities make appropriate decisions, to prioritize investment over resources with greater potential, an element essential for tourism planning. The methodology used consisted of identifying the tourist resources of the study area, and through in-situ observation, the Multicriteria Evaluation (MCE) was applied to them in an environment of the Geographic Information System (GIS), thus maintaining that the Mirador de Conoc, Ocshuputo and the hot springs of Huarmipuquio present a greater tourist potential due to a series of intrinsic and extrinsic factors, concluding that investment in tourist infrastructure over them should be a priority over other tourist resources.
