Resumen
The current demand of the metalworking sector has been increasing in recent years, causing competitive companies to constantly look for improving their productivity and effectiveness. The causes such as long distances between machines and lack of quality control in metalworking companies, causes unnecessary movements and at the same time an excess of product manufacturing time. To solve this problem, a hybrid model was developed that uses the SLP tools, 5s and the Kanban-Conwip hybrid system that, applied in the metalworking sector, allowed to reduce the unnecessary movements, optimize the use of the plant size and improve the relation between areas. Whose result could reduce 15.74% of unnecessary movements, which is equivalent to about 9.09 meters per day, resulting in an increase in productivity by 12.5%.
