Resumen
The study aimed to determine the level of transformational leadership of the teaching and management staff of public and private universities in the city of Lima. From the methodological point of view, it was defined as applied, with a non-experimental design and a descriptive level. The population was made up of directors and professors from a public and a private university in the city of Lima. The sample was selected through an intentional probabilistic sampling, where 4 directors of the public university and 2 of the private one was chosen, as for the professors, 42 professors of the public university and 34 of the private one was chosen, all of the career. of administration. The information was collected through two questionnaires, one addressed to managers with 52 questions and the other addressed to teachers with 32 questions; In both questionnaires, the questions had 5 response options according to a Likert-type scale. The results were analyzed from a descriptive point of view, both for the transformational leadership variable and for its dimensions, through the calculation of absolute and relative frequencies, to then establish the respective conclusions.
