Resumen
The growth of PET bottle manufacturing companies is driven by technological advances, yet challenges persist in productivity and equipment maintenance. Previous research emphasizes Lean Six Sigma tools like 5S, SMED, and TPM, but specific applications in SMEs remain underexplored. Addressing thesechallenges is crucial to enhancing operational efficiency, especially in environments with limited resources. This research implemented an integrated model using SMED, 5S, and TPM in a plastic industry SME, leading to a 17.99% increase in productivity and significant reductions in mold change time and machine failures. These results demonstrate the model's ability to improve efficiency and reduce production downtime. The academic and socioeconomic impacts include practical recommendations for the broader adoption of Lean tools in SMEs, contributing to global competitiveness and sustainability. This research calls forfuture studies to explore new methodologies that can further optimize operations in resource-constrained settings.
