Resumen

This paper deals with the emergence of the first psychotherapeutic treatments in the Instituto Frenopático de Buenos Aires. The work of chronological ordering accompanied by a diachronic study of the clinical records collected in this private institution that began operation in the 1880s, has allowed us to locate the first record of this treatment in 1919 .
