Resumen
Introduction: A global debate has begun aimed at developing a new international policy instrument that would allow for the most appropriate prevention, preparedness, and response to a future pandemic. This debate follows an analysis of the challenges faced during the COVID-19 pandemic and the inadequacy of existing instruments to address these challenges effectively.
