Resumen
Nowadays, many companies have been implementing the Last Planner® System (LPS) to reduce the variability of their activities and improve the performance of their projects. However, the implementation of LPS is often not correct, and teams fail to achieve the maximum benefits of this system. This research aims to show the use of a tool that allows us to diagnose the level of LPS implementation and thus propose a series of improvements that will help us improve the implementation of LPS in a water and sewage pipeline relocation project. For this, the following research starts with a diagnosis of the project's current status and indicators. Then, a root cause analysis of the project problems is performed, and a diagnosis of the LPS implementation is made; with this information, the project team implements a series of actions that help improve the performance of the project. Finally, after the improvements implemented in the project, the indicators improve, and variability is reduced.
