Resumen

Recently, the incorporation of new farming methods has been playing a great role in the agricultural sector in rural areas of Peru due to the use of the technique of raising two different species (fish and plants) as demonstrated by aquaponics, bringing a positive impact on environmental pressure as well as on the producer's profits. However, this farming technique requires an excessive expenditure of water, being a disadvantage of this method. For this reason, this work develops a mechatronic system for control and monitoring of the liquid level and PH of the solution independently with the help of the VDI 2206 methodology, in which the design processes of the different parts of the system will be applied, highlighting their requirements, technological information, control design, and mechanical design. Using diagrams to track the parameters and instruments thanks to a graphical interface, as well as matrices to identify the requirements as well as the nature of the materials to be used. The system provides an optimal solution to reduce water consumption, as it detects when the level is below 1.5 m as the minimum, 2 m as the ideal, and 2.5 m as its maximum capacity, as well as the optimal PH range, which varies from 6.5 to 7.5. Finally, it provides producers with an easily accessible aquaponic system with an alternative for saving and recycling water in the cultivation and breeding of foodstuffs.
