Resumen
Currently there are a large number of causes of university dropout worldwide, so the objective of this article was to characterize the university dropout of students from a Peruvian university. The study was developed with a non-experimental quantitative design, whose study variable was university dropout and the dimensions: Personal factors, educational factors, institutional factors and financial factors. According to the type, the work was transversal, with a descriptive level. The population consisted of 125 students who dropped out of the Administration career of a Peruvian university, during the years 2018 to 2021. An intentional non-probabilistic sampling was carried out, selecting 45 students who dropped out of the administration career of a Peruvian university, during the period from 2018 to 2021. The technique used was the survey and for data collection the questionnaire was used as an instrument, which consisted of 23 closed propositions, with 5 response options, using two scales: One of perception and another rating. The information collected was tabulated in a Microsoft Excel sheet, and by means of descriptive statistics the frequencies were calculated and analyzed, considering the variable and its dimensions.
