Resumen
The objective of the research was to test the effects of a coaching plan with neurolinguistic programming (NLP) for the achievement of academic competencies in university students. The research is explanatory with a quasi-experimental design, containing two groups: in one group the experimental procedure is executed and in the other group it is not, since it is a control group. We worked with a sample of 110 students of the subject Mathematics 2.0 of the Administration course of the Continental University, who formed the experimental and control group of the study. Significant differences were observed between the means obtained in both groups, after the application of the treatment with the outlined coaching plan, the greatest discrepancy was reached in the cognitive competences with 1.88 points and the interpersonal with 1.44, while the communicational competences obtained the smallest difference (0.82). It is concluded that the NLP coaching plan implemented significantly improves the achievement of academic competencies in the students.
