Resumen
Carrión's disease is endemic to the Andes and is still considered a public health challenge, spreading to neighboring countries. The objective of the study was to analyze temporal and geographical patterns of Carrión's disease in Peru (2000-2023) and identify epidemiological peaks. A total of 49,933 data points from Peru's National Open Data Platform were evaluated. Segmentation was applied by epidemiological week, type of diagnosis, spatiotemporal distribution, and heat map. A total of 53.2% of cases were probable, and 61.4% were in the acute phase. The pediatric population represents 46.5% of cases, with a predominance of males. Cajamarca (26%) and Ancash (23.5%) accounted for 49.5% of confirmed cases. Bartonellosis exhibits a north-south gradient, characterized by pediatric prevalence and critical seasonality during the first half of the year.
