Resumen
Introduction: This work responds to the necessity of identifying the strengths and weaknesses evidenced by university professors concerning their dictation performance in the distance education modality, in order to recommend proposals aimed at their improvement. Objective: To describe self-evaluation of university professors’ performance in the distance education modality in times of pandemic. Methods: A descriptive and quantitative research approach was applied. Two instruments were applied: a self-evaluation questionnaire of university teaching fifty professors from the Nutrition and Dietetics major of a private university in Lima. Results: Self-evaluation of professors has been found to be mainly positive, reflected in relevant adaptations in the courses taught. In addition, frequent asynchronous communication with the students was evidenced, which enabled a positive self-perception of the bond established with them. Regarding the perceived technical limitations, these were mainly related to Internet connection failures and lack of mastery of some technological tools. Conclusions: It was concluded that the group that showed better disposition to change and a higher level of satisfaction was made up of female teachers whose age was over 41 years.
