Resumen

Lean Construction (LC) is a philosophy implemented in different construction projects due to its multiple benefits. Also, many construction professionals implemented LC during the pandemic, a stage of high variability in the construction sector; however, few studies have collected the tools implemented during this stage of high variability. Therefore, the following study aims to identify the main tools implemented during this stage and the benefits obtained by professionals in different construction projects, so that they can serve as lessons learned for future construction projects or professionals starting their lean path. The researchers conducted a literature review using the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and MetaAnalyses) methodology to identify research on the implementation of lean tools; during this stage, the authors reviewed 128 articles published between 2020 and 2023. The main tools identified were: the Last Planner System for its help in reducing variability, visual management to communicate results to the different project participants, and 5\mathrm{~S} for its great help in managing order and cleanliness in the workplace. Finally, the tools found in the literature review are compared with previous studies prior to the pandemic. The following research will help construction professionals select lean tools that can help them in periods of great complexity, such as the pandemic
