Abstract

Studies on the technological surveillance of the use of wearable health devices for body monitoring began in 2010. However, the technological progress of these monitoring and surveillance devices has been increasing over the years, and in turn, their use is even greater; despite having been studied for a long time, innovative technologies applied to different sectors have been developed. Therefore, this article aims to systematically review the trends in the development and creation of wearable devices for technological surveillance applied to health and body monitoring. The objective is to provide the researcher with a structured matrix that integrates parameters related to using wearable health devices in monitoring. Different databases and specialized search engines were used to help collect research from 2019 to 2023. Filtering and selecting the reviewed study were conducted, leaving 20 selected. Finally, it is concluded that there is still room for improvement and to continue with the development and use of wearable health devices in the monitoring of the body as they help to have a better diagnosis of diseases and, in turn, serve as support in their treatment.
