Abstract

Artificial Intelligence has gained importance in the tourism industry, transforming the management and improvement of tourist experiences; however, there are research gaps that justify conducting an exhaustive bibliometrics in this area. Therefore, the objective is to examine research trends on the use of artificial intelligence in tourism. A bibliometric analysis is proposed, following the guidelines established in the PRISMA-2020 declaration. The bibliometric analysis shows a remarkable growth of research on AI in tourism, especially in the years 2021, 2022 and 2023. Authors such as Tussyadiah I, Sivathanu B and Pillai R are recognized for their notable impact and visibility. In recent years, topics such as Artificial Intelligence Robots, Wireless Internet of Devices, and Big Data have been highlighted. Similarly, the research identifies solid and growing concepts, reflecting a growing interest and underscoring the importance of continuing research in this area in the future.
