Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the efficiency of organic fertilizers from household waste in the yield of the Lactuca sativa L crop. Prior to its elaboration, a certain group of families was trained in order to correctly segregate their organic household waste, from which Bokashi and Biol were elaborated. The parameters to determine the efficiency of the fertilizers were the number of leaves, the diameter and the head weight of the lettuces; all during the harvest, the chemical composition of the fertilizers was based on the laboratory analysis; the economic and environmental evaluation of organic fertilizers was determined. Through the economic evaluation, it is corroborated that this aspect projects us very satisfactory profitability and remuneration regarding the commercialization of this type of organic fertilizers, in addition to seeing that they are friendly to the environment and that they contribute to the care of the soils.
