“Mi Casero”. A Digitalization and User Experience Interface in Arequipa to Supply Markets: Influential Factors on Technology Adoption and Commercial Environment Improvement Using PLS SEM

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influential factors in the adoption of digital technologies and the improvement of user experience in the supply markets of Arequipa. The methodology used was non-experimental (n = 30; α = 0.971, ω = 0.945); through a survey applied to 500 participants, including merchants and customers, we evaluated the impact of various variables such as vendor image, administrative management, product promotion, and business digitalization on sales turnover and customer perception using reliability tests and validity, factor analysis, and structural equation modeling with partial least squares. The results indicate that strategic improvement in these areas can significantly increase purchase intent, with a determination coefficient of 44.1% of the interest in spending more influenced by these variables. Additionally, there is a strong demand for the digitalization of services and promotion on social networks, suggesting a potential path toward the modernization of these traditional commercial spaces. The research provides a basis for future interventions and developments of applications that improve the management of customer flow and product rotation, contributing to the creation of more efficient and attractive markets for the digital age.
