Abstract
The factors that affect Peru's non-traditional exports are studied. An error correction vector is used to estimate the elasticities of GDP growth in China (1.71%), the Eurozone (0.11%), export prices (0.23%), the Baltic Dry Index (-0.06%), agricultural wages (-1.06%) and their impact on export volume. The results show that the greatest influence comes from the export index, followed by Chinese GDP, prices and wages. The relevance of China as a main trading partner and its leading role in the behavior of Peruvian exports are highlighted.
