Abstract

The fire prevention system applying IoT provides security and well-being to people. This system develops a unique model applying low-cost technology; furthermore, the use and interaction of this system with the user, through a web platform, are easy. The model was carried out by analyzing the different devices on the market that have the characteristic of sending and receiving data in the cloud. The ESP8266 device was used in this project, as it has all the necessary features at a reduced price. This device receives information from the sensors so that the development board sends an SMS through the IFTTT application, which takes 2 seconds to reach the user's cell phone and the fire department, providing them with the link to the web platform that shows the real data. The system performed successfully against testing in a real environment.
