Abstract

Despite the technical, technological and scientific advances in computer security, the different computer systems continue to be successfully compromised, reflecting conceptual and scientific development gaps. Therefore, this document aims to identify the evolution of the subject, its references and its main research trends. For this purpose, a bibliometric analysis is developed from the Scopus database between 2002 and the present, the data being analyzed from Microsoft Excel and VOSviewer. The main results reflect a subject with important exponential growth, materialized by authors, journals and institutions from developed countries, which have approached the subject from general aspects such as risk, threat, security and privacy. Therefore, it is concluded that the main research trends on the subject are marked by the comprehensive development of game theories, general computer security, and intelligent networks, and always encompassing the human factor.
