Abstract

This research presents the design of a control system for monitoring energy in hydroelectric plants with a pumping system through mechatronic systems with IOT communication to streamline the control and monitoring process. The development of the project shows that the application of speed sensors, proximity and the type of communication are feasible in each process since it is divided into 3 processes that facilitate control by giving autonomy in each process. The control stage of the reception of the water as part of the gravitational energy will be controlled by the speed sensors, in the second process it is the control of the energy obtained in the form of remnant, this energy is used providing additional utilities to create a dam addition, and as a last process is the control of this dam where the gates and the water level are monitored. The proposed system design provides an alternative for the use of dissipated energy and the research can be applied to hydroelectric power plants.
