Abstract
The following research analyzes the epistemic supports that validate education in scientific competencies as a construction of useful knowledge by communities. This type of knowledge allows independence as appropriation of the ways that allow common life; For this reason, it is related to the ability to weave emancipation. We warn against pedagogies based on impositions and surveillance as counter-educational methods. To deepen and exemplify the notions, we characterize education in research competencies at the postgraduate level at the Rómulo Gallegos National Experimental University (UNERG); study carried out in 2020. This is a bibliographic research from the rationalist-deductive approach.
