Abstract

The general objective of the research was to propose a business process model with the BPM methodology to improve the results of university management based on the ISO 21000 standard. The focus of the study was a qualitative, thorough, and non-experimental design. The population and sample chosen were formed by students, teachers, and administrators of the Professional School of Systems Engineering and Computing of the Peruvian University of the Andes (from now on EPISC-UPLA). Survey and process observation were implemented through questionnaires and observation sheets. It is concluded that the design of the business process model using the BPM methodology improves the productivity of processes in university management based on ISO21000:201S standard; since the average obtained -0.25, indicating a positive variation of the post-test regarding pretest on process productivity.
