Abstract
El The construction sector is one of the fundamental pillars for the economic development of the country, however, the poor workmanship of construction materials and also the presence of rains in rural areas affect the durability of the houses, deteriorating their masonry quickly. However, the poor elaboration of construction materials and also the presence of rains in rural areas affect the durability of the houses, deteriorating their masonry quickly. For this reason, the compressive strength of the blocks with the addition of Nopal mucilage was determined, as well as its waterproofing against water and the automated obtaining of this mucilage with the use of TIA Portal, Factory IO, Lab VIEW software. In addition, the Peruvian Technical Standard was used to evaluate its compressive strength and waterproofing. A 6% of Nopal mucilage was added to the blocks, where a compressive strength of 101.81 kg/cm2 and an absorption of 8.14% was achieved. Finally, it is concluded that these blocks with the addition of Nopal mucilage are a good alternative for the construction of houses in rural areas and the automation of the system will help a good implementation for a production line of Nopal mucilage
