Abstract

The demand for yellow corn according to the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation Midagri in the period 2020, Peru had an annual growth of 4.9%, having a national production of 1.2% of which had to import 3.7%. This work develops the classification of corn grains separating impurities to improve production times in the company 'Inversiones Santana'. For the simulation of the classification of corn grains with impurities, the Factory IO and TIA Portal software was used, where a vision sensor sends to the interactive screen of HMI, to then see the production time in the Anylogic software, for which a working time of 8 hours and 13.8 minutes was obtained initially without the automation proposal. Finally, implementing the improvement proposal, we obtained a recognition for the classification of corn grains to 100% of impurities, improving the production of 120 bags of corn, to be done in 5 hours and 3 minutes, improving by 38.92% the work processes.
