Abstract

In the manufacturing MYPE, the machinery lacks a scheduled maintenance plan because it is in its initial stage. This research shows us the RCM (trust centered maintenance) approach and its impact to improve the availability of the machinery that comprises an organization in a polymer industry. This research is based on the analysis of machinery, in which the taxonomy was perfected and merged with the criteria of the (risk priority number) NPR and in relation to the activities carried out by each machinery, the maintenance plan was implemented. The results obtained were satisfactory and relevant, since the average availability increase of 91.66% was presented in the critical machines evaluated (mincer, crusher and extruder) and in line two of pelletizing, managing to apply an effective maintenance plan and viable to increase the availability of equipment in the organization.
