Personal profile
I am a medical technologist specializing in clinical laboratory and anatomical pathology, a graduate of the National University of San Marcos, with over seven years of experience in the university setting, working full-time as a professor in the training of medical technology professionals. I complemented my education with a master's degree in Biomedical Technology Management and Development from Carlos III University of Madrid, which has allowed me to integrate clinical perspectives with technological innovation.
For five years, I worked as an applications specialist, which strengthened my expertise in the use, implementation, and optimization of clinical laboratory equipment, as well as in the technical training of healthcare professionals. This experience has been key to integrating clinical practice with automation and technological innovation in the laboratory.
Throughout my academic career, I have taught courses such as hematology, hemostasis, clinical biochemistry, automation, and histotechnology, distinguished by my application of active learning methodologies and my commitment to fostering critical thinking through the analysis of complex clinical cases. Furthermore, I have held academic management roles, participating in the coordination of strategic areas and strengthening internationalization processes.
In research, I have participated in microbiology projects and have a significant body of scientific output, particularly in dermatophytosis, including long-term epidemiological studies in Peru. My research interests focus on hematological, biochemical, and immunological biomarkers applied to clinical diagnosis. Currently, I am continuing to strengthen my academic profile as a thesis advisor and pursuing doctoral studies in health sciences.
