Dr. Uriel Mauricio Tagle Vega, a surgeon and master's candidate in university teaching, works in research areas related to neurosurgery and neuroscience, specializing in clinical research, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses. He is a RENACYT Level VII researcher with experience teaching at universities in Peru and abroad. He currently serves as head of statistics practicals at the School of Human Medicine of Universidad Continental-Cusco Campus. Dr. Tagle is a founder and associate researcher of the Pan-American Society of Neurosurgery and Neuroscience Students (SOPENN), the Global NeuroImpact Alliance for TBI (United States), and a member of the Brazilian Academy of Neurosurgery, where he develops research and teaching projects between Peru and Brazil. He is the editor of the "Manual of Neurosurgery" and book chapters on neurosurgery, and he is a speaker at international neurosurgery congresses in countries such as Brazil, Colombia, and the United States. As a researcher, he received the 15th Research Award in the Clinical Cases category from the National Institute of Neurological Sciences (INCN), Lima, Peru. He also received the AANS-CNS Cranial Trauma Award from the National Neurotrauma Society in 2025.
