An economist with a master's degree in Environmental Economics and Environmental Management from the University of York (UK) and over eleven years of professional experience at the Environmental Assessment and Enforcement Agency (OEFA). Her career focuses on environmental economics applied to environmental regulation and oversight, including the economic valuation of environmental damage, the design of regulatory incentives, environmental compliance, and public policy formulation.
Her main research areas include the economic valuation of ecosystem services, the study of the El Niño phenomenon, natural capital accounting, risk-based environmental oversight, the use of geographic information systems (GIS) and geospatial intelligence (GeoAI), and the integration of ESG criteria and sustainable development approaches in public and private management. She also investigates the application of advanced digital tools—such as digital twins and geospatial analysis—to strengthen environmental oversight and evidence-based decision-making.
