Raul Huacho Buendía is a Forestry and Environmental Engineer, specializing in Geographic Information Systems. His academic interests lie in the ecology and conservation of Andean and tropical forests. His research focuses on analyzing the influence of environmental variables on the growth of high-Andean and tropical tree species, using tools such as dendrochronology and the study of the effects of climate change. He has participated in nationally funded research projects through the Mining Canon, Overcanon, and Mining Royalties, as well as in projects supported by the World Bank and CONCYTEC.
