Martin Remberto Horna Romero holds a Master's degree in Literature with a minor in Cultural Studies from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. He holds bachelor's degrees in both Literature and Education, both from the same university. He is currently completing his doctorate in "Spanish: Advanced Research in Language and Literature" at the University of Salamanca (Spain). He has also written two books: the poetry collection Genesis 2.23 (2013) and the literary criticism text Blanca Varela: A Rhetoric of Horror and Vanity (2021). His third book, the essay La rosa traversa. Crítica y postura estética de la poesía de la generación del 50 en tiempos de dictadura (The Traverse Rose: Criticism and Aesthetic Position of the Poetry of the Generation of the 50s in Times of Dictatorship), will be published in 2026. For this book, he won the 2024 Copé Oro Essay Award, one of the most prestigious competitions in Peru. Because his research interests focus on literary and pedagogical studies, he has published five academic texts and participated in several national and international conferences with the aim of disseminating the Peruvian poetry of the Generation of the 1950s. Finally, he has twenty (20) years of teaching experience at the elementary, pre-university, and higher education levels. He has worked at various universities since 2016, including San Marcos, Cayetano Heredia, UPC, UTP, and USIL. He has also been a coordinator and virtual course designer. He has also taught at the National School of Archives (Archivo General de la Nación) and currently works at the Universidad Científica del Sur and Universidad Continental.
