Dr. Julio A. Poterico is a Medical Geneticist with extensive experience in patient care
with genetic diseases, rare conditions, prenatal and reproductive genetics,
hematological and immunological diseases, and hereditary cancer in hospitals and institutes
general and specialized. Dr Poterico has collaborated in the implementation and logistics of
genomic and molecular biology tests in recognized health institutions such as the Institute
National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases (INEN), the National Institute of Children's Health San Borja
(INSN-SB) and the Madre Niño Teaching Hospital "San Bartolomé (HONADOMANI)". Dr. Poterico is
a professional committed to the continuous improvement of your medical care and updating
continues in the area and his scientific research. He has a Master of Science with a major in
Precision Cancer Medicine from the University of Oxford and a second specialization in
Clinical Bioinformatics, University of Manchester; among other high-level training
expertise. He has participated in research projects on topics such as epidemiology, sciences
clinical, human genetics, genomics, cancer, bioinformatics, among others. Currently, Dr.
Poterico is dedicated to the development of lines of research in such relevant areas
such as rare conditions (so-called rare diseases), genomics,
transcriptomics, microbiome, cancer and bioinformatics in clinical care and public health.
