Doctor of Educational Sciences from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (Scholarship from the Kellogg Foundation and LASPAU- Harvard University of the USA). He did his postdoctoral research stay (University of Seville, Spain) thanks to a grant from Fundación Carolina. He completed his master's studies in Educational Psychology at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. He has a degree in Psychology from the Ricardo Palma University. He is a specialist in Qualitative Research and Statistical Analysis at the University of Seville. Since 1992 he has served as a consultant and researcher for international organizations such as the World Bank, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), LASPAU - Fulbright (USA) and DANIDA from Denmark. Likewise, he has been a researcher and / or consultant in the Development Analysis Group (GRADE), the National Education Council (CNE), the Economic and Social Research Consortium (CIES) and the Peruvian Institute of Evaluation, Accreditation and Certification of Basic Education (IPEBA). He worked as a teacher at the Arts and Social Sciences University - ARCIS (Chile), the University of the Sea (Viña del Mar, Chile), the University of Information Sciences (Chile), the Mariano Egaña University (Chile) and at the Doctorate in Education from the University of Antioquia (subsidized by COLCIENCIAS) and from the San Pablo Catholic University where he served as Principal Professor and Director of Research
