Lawyer and Master in Criminal Law, with a specialization diploma in thesis advising and currently pursuing a doctorate in law. He is a full-time professor in the Faculty of Law at Continental University, where he is also a member of the Quality Accreditation Committee. He is a researcher for the Ibero-American Interdisciplinary Network of Researchers, Socio-Legal Node. He is a professor in the Master's Program in Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure at the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja (Ecuador) and in the Master's Program in Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure at Continental University. He has been an international speaker at various Latin American universities. He is a member of the Editorial Board of the journal Ius et Tribunalis. He is an accredited researcher with the National System of Science, Technology and Technological Innovation (SINACYT), with Renacyt Registration P0055788.
