Doctor in Medicine from the University of Barcelona, she is currently the coordinator of the Research Line in Community Acquired Pneumonia at the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona. Her research work focuses on the etiology of pneumonia and its relationship with the clinical evolution of this disease. She is the coordinator of the Global Pneumonia Awareness Campaign -Pneumolight. She is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Barcelona Spain.
